Zurich International Life, recognise that clients investing larger regular amounts expect greater rewards. That’s why, if you save just USD750 a month or more into your Vista, you will be eligible for a savings bonus and the more you save, the greater the bonus.


Strengthening Your Plan

Your bonus amount is determined as:
Your savings in the first year x the bonus allocation percentage x the remaining term of your policy The table below illustrates the percentage of each qualifying savings amount that will be added to your policy as you save.

 


Boosting Your Performance

To illustrate the effect such a bonus can have on your savings, let’s compare the savings of a standard saver against the advantages from the bronze, silver and gold bonuses. The following tables illustrate the amount you would receive, after the  deduction of fees and charges, based on the following assumptions:

• Savings frequency: monthly
• Savings term: 20 years
• Yearly escalation rate: 0% • Initial contribution period: 18 months
• Additional benefits: not covered

 

Increasing Your Savings

With the flexibility of Vista you can choose to increase, decrease or stop the amount you save. Where an increase is made to your regular savings the bonus applicable will be determined by your new total savings amount (but only applied to the additional amount saved).

Let’s take, for example, a saver who invests USD500 every month into his Vista policy. His goal is to save for his retirement and his policy term when he established the policy five years ago, was for 25 years. He has recently received a promotion at work and decides that he can now afford to put more away toward his retirement and chooses to save USD2,000 each month.

 

In the sixth year of his policy, his increase to USD2,000 per month qualified his savings to receive a ‘gold’ bonus. For each month of that year, when he invested this amount, his savings were boosted by 50%, based on the remaining 20 years of his policy.
